House, stable and
mounting block

Farmhouse and stables. Late C18, restored c.1973. Coursed squared rubble with
quoins and pecked ashlar dressings; roof pantiled with 2 rows of stone flags at
eaves, stone gable copings and ashlar chimneys.
2 storeys, 6 and 5 windows. 6-bay house has left entrance bay, with double
boarded vehicle doors under elliptical arch with voussoirs and alternate-block
jambs; 6-panel door to right under flat stone lintel; 2 windows above; next 2
bays are quioned and have central 6-panel door flanked by horizontal sliding
sashes; 2 windows above; similar windows in next 2 bays. Irregular fenestration;
all ground-floor windows horizontal sliding sashes under flat stone lintels,
the upper windows small and at eaves.
Stables at right have boarded door and ground-floor hit-and-miss windows under
flat stone lintels; louvred loft openings at eaves. Roof has flat gable
copings; 3 banded chimneys at end of quoined 2-bay part and over fifth bay;
central louvred ridge ventilator with square ogee dome and cast-iron finial.
Mounting block in front of stable has 3 stone steps.
