Vinicombe headstone about 4 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Thomas of Canterbury

Headstone. Late C18. Slate. Very tall segmental-headed shouldered headstone with a Greek key border and an urn carved in relief at the top. The inscription commemorates John Vinicombe, died 1790, and other members of the family. The carving and lettering is of a high quality and the unusually large size of the stone (over 2m) makes it a particularly notable feature of the churchyard.
