Farmhouse. Mid C17. Altered C19. Squared rubble in unequal
courses. Ashlar dressings. Slate roof. Chamfered plinth,
ashlar quoins, coped gables with kneelers. 2 storeys plus
garrets, 4 bays. Double range, square plan. Windows are mainly
c19 plain sashes and early C20 leaded casements. South front has
off-centre C20 hipped porch with rockfaced plinth. To its left,
round C19 bay window with 5 casements. To its right, a casement
and a square, slated C19 bay window with 5 casements. To right
again, adjoining cross-gabled conservatory with brick plinth,
central door to south and gables with finials. Above, 3 plain
sashes. Above again, to right, a casement. West front has
central rendered brick addition, C19, and to its left, C20 timber
porch. To left, a casement and a sash, to right, a glazing bar
sash and a casement. Above, 2 casements. Rear elevation has C19
lean-to addition, brick with slate roof. To west, 2 doors and
blocked opening, with timber lintel. Adjoining boundary wall,
coursed rubble, has flat stone coping. To east, a casement and a
door. To left again, 2 blocked stone mullioned cellar windows
with chamfered reveals. Above, 4 cross-transom casements and a
plain casement. Above again, to left, 2 blocked openings. To
their right, a cross casement. To right again, a plain sash, a
blocked opening and a cross casement. East end has large C20
flat roofed addition with parapet. To east, 2 casements. To
north, 3 casements. Main east front has to right, a cross
casement. Above, a plain sash. Above again, 2 small casements.
