House, latterly 3 dwellings and a shop. C17 and possibly earlier, altered
early C18, extended and altered early C19. Timber frame, plastered. Thatched
roof with slates on addition. 3 cell plan, 1 storey and attic; 1 bay, 2
storey addition to right. Main range has three 4 panelled doors to centre and
at ends, architraved with hoodboards, 1 and 2-light glazing bar casements and
a 15 pane fixed window, three 2-light dormers, those to centre and left over
hall and parlour have boldly moulded heads to windows, plaintiled gables, to
centre a Phoenix Insurance marker, right or service end dormer has a raking
pantiled head. Axial ridge stack to left of centre between hall and parlour.
Right end external kitchen stack now in lower ridge of C19 addition with an
architraved 6 panelled door, 3-light part opening metal frame casements, 9
panes on ground floor, boxed eaves. Catslide roof over lean-to behind added
bay. Left gable end pentice boards, 2-light casement, exposed plates and
purlins. Lean-to additions to rear left with an external stack. Interior not
inspected.
