Farmhouse. Probably early C17. Rendered stone rubble and cob. Thatch roof with
gable ends. Tall unrendered stone rubble lateral hall stack to front with off-sets
and stack at left gable end. 3 room through-passage plan. Outshut and former stair
turret to rear . 2 storeys. 4 window range of sashes, 4 over 8 panes. Ground
floor has three 16-paned sashes. Those to each side of porch without horns.
Gabled lattice porch. C20 door.
Interior: the house is aligned down the slope with hall and inner room below the
through-passage to the left and former kitchen with staircase inserted in C20 to
right.
Single chamfered cross ceiling beam and bressumer to hall and inner room with
slightly stepped stops. Hall fireplace concealed. Early C17 roof structure with 3
trusses with slightly curved feet to the principals.
