Grove Farm House

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 origins. Cary stone roughly squared; thatched roof between coped gables; brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys
with attics, 6 bays. Bay 1 apparently an extension, with early plain boarded door; remainder a mixture of 2 and
3-light casement windows, some with metal opening lights and one with casement stay; C20 part-glazed door bay 4; most
openings spanned by exposed timber lintels: Welsh slate roofed verandah along most of front; high in bay 3 an early
leaded light single casement window set into thatch, and underneath a Sun fire insurance plaque. Interior not seen.
