of St Thomas A Becket

Headstone. Late C18. Upright sandstone slab with shaped head standing approx
l.lm high. The head is carved with motifs; a central oval plaque containing
what appears to be a lamb amongst scrolls is flanked by a crown and a flame.
The inscription is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering including
italics but is so worn as to be illegible in all but perfect lighting
conditions.
