Small country house. late C17, with alterations c1823 and additions c1842, restored
c1990. Red brick with ashlar dressings, all rendered and painted. Welsh slate hipped roofs
with 9 brick chimney stacks. South front has recessed 5 window centre, with central
doorway under columned porch with glazed panel door and fanlight. Eitherside 2 glazing
bar sashes, and above 5 similar windows. Flanking this block to east and west are mid-
C19 additions each with a taller 2 storey canted bay window with plain sashes, ashlar cill
bands and ashlar coped parapets. Interior. Has 3 C18 wooden fireplaces, many panel
doors in moulded surrounds, shutters to most of the windows, and a remodelled staircase
with bulbous balusters, probably late C17 in origin.
