Oasthouse. Probably mid/late C19 with some C20 alterations. Stowage Flemish
bond brick to the ground floor, weatherboarded on the first floor; brick
kilns; peg-tile roofs.
Plan: Stowage to the west, roofed on an east-west axis. 3 brick kilns at the
east end.
Exterior: 2 storey stowage with a gabled roof. The south elevation has 2
sets of paired plank doors to the left, the left hand pair with strap hinges.
Plank door to the right with a segmental arched head, 2-light late C19 or C20
casement alongside to the left. The upper floor has left and right C19 or C20
casement windows and a plank loft door in the centre. The north elevation has
3 ground floor C19 or C20 casement windows and a barred segmental-headed
opening to ground floor let. One 2-light first floor casement. 2 first floor
windows to the first floor in the west end, one with a slatted opening
alongside. The 3 circular kilns have conical roofs with brick cogging below
the eaves and timber cowls. The 2 southern kilns each have one ground floor
top-hung casement, the northernmost kiln has a C19 or C20 one-light window.
