War Memorial, 1923, by George J. Coombs (Aberdeen). Pale grey Aberdeen granite and bronze. Five-stepped terrace with corner plinths. Long base, with cyma-moulded plinth and top cornice, holds bronze plaques, with names of fallen in two World Wars, on back and front, flanking stepped pedestal of tall shaft with coved cornice and bronze wreath at head. Inserted panel in pedestal gives war dates. Bronze wreaths also on pedestal.
