Cottage. Circa late C17 or early C18, extended in late C20. Stretcher bond
red brick, probably to timber frame; stretcher and random bond brick at rear.
Thatched roof with gabled ends and eyebrow eaves; half-hipped extension.
Brick stack at left end. 2-room plan, the left hand room has gable end stack;
the right hand room is unheated. Direct entry through front doorway into left
room. C19 single storey outshut at left end and C20 2-storey extension at
right end. 1 storey and attic. Asymmetrical 3-window front to original part.
2 projecting brick bays, the left hand rising into eyebrow in eaves with C18
or C19 2-light casement with leaded panes over doorway with glazed and
panelled door and C20 porch. Three C20 2-light casements on ground floor
with glazing bars. Single storey lean-to at left end and late C20 brick
extension on right end with thatched roof. At rear of original part 2
projecting brick bays, the right hand with small C20 casement with glazing
bars. Interior: Left hand room has, chamfered axial beam with stops and C20
brick fireplace, Right hand room has chamfered axial beam. Stud partition
between the rooms. First floor and roof structure not inspected.
