TL 70 NW 9/494 Brook End Bridge,
Chelmer and
Blackwater Navigation

Bridge over the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. Circa 1797. Chief
Engineer John Rennie, work supervised by Richard Coates. Red brick in English
bond, with sandstone coping. A single round arched bridge, band following
through square end pillars. One of the 5 original bridges. (See 55th list
for Maldon District: Langford, 3/5).
