Stable block
Formerly the stable block, built by Hopper in 1848, now incorporated in modern
extensions for Essex University, which link with the main house. Red brick,
Tudor style, 2 storeys, slate roof, shaped end gables, central wood clock and
bell turret over central carriage arch, 4 window range of one and 2 light casements
(some modern) with hood moulds.
