L-shaped C16-C17 timber-framed house greatly restored and now largely C19 in
appearance externally. Two storeys. Five windows. Now faced with stucco
on ground floor and tile-hanging above. Tiled roof. The south front has a
nearly central chimney breast of stucco and tile-hanging and a gabled flint
porch to the east of this. The north front has 2 gabled projections and a
smaller gable to west, beneath which is a 2-storeyed bay of 2 tiers of 9 lights.
In the angle of the L is another gabled projection facing east. The west
front has original windows of 2 and 3 lights. The interior contains a C16
staircase and fireplaces (one with the initials J M, probably for John Michelbourne)
and C17 panelling.
