(Formerly listed as Tunnel ventilation shaft to north of Number 9, previously listed as Tunnel ventilation shaft to north of number 9, The Woodlands)

Ventilation shaft tunnel for former Swannington to Leicester Railway line. 1830-32. Designed by Robert Stephenson. Burnt blue engineering brick with ashlar coping. Slightly tapering circular shaft about 3 metres high with domed iron grill.
