Three houses, now offices. Early/mid C19. Stucco to Nos 6
and 7 to the right; limestone ashlar to No.8 to the left;
half-hipped slate roof with brick ridge stack to No.7.
2-unit plans. Nos 6 and 7 are 2-window range. No.8 is central
stairhall plan with front facing the garden at a right angle
to the street; symmetrical 3-window range.
EXTERIOR: Nos 6 and 7 have raised surrounds to 8/8-pane sash
windows.
No.6 to the right is slightly higher with the roof half hipped
(the lower part being continuous with No.7). The 6-panel door
glazed to the top is to right of centre. No.7 has a similar
door under a hood on brackets to the right.
No.8 has a cornice and blocking course, pilasters and lintel
bands. 6/6-pane sash windows, that to centre front has a
semicircular arch. Edge-roll moulding to a mid C19 half-glazed
door with margin panes. The facade, facing south at a right
angle to the street, is spanned by a C19 cast-iron trellised
verandah with a C20 swept canopy. The left return, facing The
Causeway, is one-window range.
INTERIOR: noted as being altered.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a pair of gate piers, the right-hand one
attached to the south-west corner of the house, have reeded
cornices and pyramidal caps.
