Former artisans' workshops to Normansfield Hospital


Former artisans' workshops to Normansfield Hospital (qv). Late C19. Yellow stock brick with red brick dressings and bands. Red tiled pitched roofs. A long, single-storey block with red brick cambered arches to 3-light transom and mullion windows. Doors are part-glazed. Interiors: plain and functional.
This row of workshops were built specifically for the use of disabled patients. They are the first workshops built specifically for the disabled.
