Hart Inn

GV II

Stables and coach house. C18, with C20 alterations. Red brick,
laid to English Garden Wall bond, colourwashed on elevations
facing yard, below old tiled roof.
EXTERIOR: single storey and lofts. L-plan around south and
east sides of inn yard and joins rear of White Hart Inn.
Irregular fenestration, and with central stable and loft doors
on west elevation, with panelled door, and casement windows to
ground floor and loft to right. South range has wide opening,
infilled with weatherboarding at loft level and two C20 steel
windows at right in area converted to outhouse to the main
building.
INTERIOR: ground floor with 3 stalls, feed troughs, harness
room, loft above. Roof with pegged rafters and thin ridge
board.
