Milestone. c1760 reset 1869, erected by Watton Turnpike Trust. Portland stone. Worn inscription reads 'XX111 MILES from LONDON'. In 1869 Robert Smith of Goldings diverted and reconstructed the turnpike road from Hertford through Waterford to Watton and Stevenage so that it avoided Goldings Park.
