House, incorporating shop. Early-mid C18, with early C20
alterations. Timber-framed, with brick front, now rendered in
lined-out stucco. Old tiled roof set above bold modillioned
wood eaves cornice and boxed eaves. Red brick stacks with
oversailing courses, that to right heightened. Central
staircase plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics. First floor has three 12-pane
sash windows with exposed boxes, slightly recessed. Ground
floor has single sash window to left, central doorway, with
6-fielded panelled door, glazed 3-light overdoor, and C20
pedimented hood on cut brackets. Early C20 shopfront at right
with brown glazed brick stallriser, windows with canted recess
with three-quarter glazed door, fascia on moulded consoles and
bold moulded cornice/blind box. Roof has 2 gabled tiled
dormers with wooden sashes. C19 outshoot at rear.
INTERIOR: retains original staircase, and exposed framing.
