House and malt house. Early C18. Dressed sandstone rubble;
plain tile roofs with altered slated rear pitch; C20 brick end
stack. L-shaped on plan.
EXTERIOR: single-storey and attic; single-window range: C20
mullion and transom window under stone hood; C19 gabled dormer
with C20 2-light casement; tablet inscribed: "W.B. 1740,
M.F.M. 1757". Entrance in left returned side: C20 glazed door
and plain overlight. Advanced late C18 or early C19 wing to
right, of 3 storeys, with various inserted lights and
entrances; 3 ventilation openings to second floor; hoist
opening; plank door; rubble end stack; brick panels to rear.
INTERIOR: stop-chamfered ceiling beam; inglenook fireplace;
graduated flagstone floor. Malthouse contains pulley system
and trapdoors.
