II Pottens Mill farmhouse


Barn. Probably assembled in C18 reusing older timbers with some C20 alterations.
Timber framed barn clad in weatherboarding, on sandstone plinth partly replaced with
breeze blocks with hipped tiled roof. Effectively 2 barns of 2 bays each as centre
has 2 upright posts on each side. Jowled posts, probably C17, mid-rail and some curved
tension braces and some C18 diagonal tension braces. Roof has tie beam, collar beam
and through purlins. Included for group value only.
