Farmhouse. Mid C19 front to C14(?) core. Roughcast; Welsh
slate roof; central brick ridge stack, and brick end stack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range: C19 casements and to
centre right, late C19 4/4 sash. Entrance to centre right:
margin-glazed and panelled door in panelled reveals and
moulded architrave, under simple wood hood; to left, prominent
canted bay with 4/4: 8/8: 4/4 sashes; 2 casements.
Wing to left: C18 superstructure to C14(?) wing, now granary
and hop drying kiln; timber-frame and brick, over sandstone
rubble; hipped plain tile roof; C20 brick lateral stack. Loft
door and opening with timber bars, over corrugated-iron
sliding doors. Right returned side: steps to plank door. Left
returned side: 3 barred openings, over 2-light stone mullion,
and wood mullion window, and blocked opening; C18 wing to rear
with spurred brick stack.
Rear: brick and rubble; C19 6/9 sliding sash and C18 3/6 sash
in moulded case under timber lintel, over rubble outshut with
Welsh slate roof. Wing to right rear: roughcast, brick and
concrete block under Welsh slate roof; massive rubble stack
with brick chimney; C20 brick ridge stack; various lights and
entrances; post and pan timber-framing. Gable displays framing
with heavy curved braces.
