GV II

Former corn warehouse and corn merchant's house now in use as
restaurant. c1850. Brick with Welsh slate roof, iron framing
internally. 5 storeys, 3-window range articulated by recessed
full-height arches with blue brick dressings. Inserted shop
front to ground floor, and French doors in centre of first
floor (replacing loading doors). All other windows have
cast-iron frames in blue brick segmental arches. Stepped
corbelling to coped gables with scrolled kneelers. 4-window
range return to St Julian's Friars divided by pilasters into
segmentally-arched bays, then door and shop front to former
merchant's house, with taller 2-pane sashes with flat-arched
stuccoed heads.
