Allegorical sculptural composition. 1907, by John Cassidy. Bronze. Male figure standing on a rock waving a piece of cloth, his wife and children lying exhausted below (apparently survivors of a shipping accident). The statue has been relocated several times and was re-erected adjacent to the Central Public Library in October 2014.
