2 houses. Dated 1868. Painted stucco with slate roofs, with
central coped ridge stack.
Plinth, first floor band and sillband, wooden brackets to
eaves cornice. 2 storeys plus attics; 6 window range. Windows
are plain sashes. 2 storey central block flanked by higher
gabled wings with elaborate wooden eaves brackets. In the
centre, a shallow pilaster flanked by 2 sashes with projecting
surrounds. Below, 2 sashes flanked by square flat-roofed
porches with cornices and blocking courses. Round-arched
doorways with impost bands and keystones, with half-glazed
panelled doors and fanlights. Projecting wings have a single
first floor window with cornice and impost band, and above it,
a panel with cornice and crest, inscribed "Hyde Place 1868".
Below, a double sash with central mullion.
Returns have a central sash and above, 2 gabled through-eaves
dormers with round-headed sashes. Below, a door towards the
rear.
