Shop. 1859, with northern facsimile bay, 1909. Red brick, with
stucco ground floor and dressings, and slate roof with 2 brick
ridge stacks.
Channelled ground floor with dentillated cornice, first floor
sill band, elaborate modillion main cornice and coped blocking
course. 3 storeys; 3 x 3 windows. Windows are mainly plain
sashes, those to the first floor with segmental pediments on
elaborate scroll brackets, those above with cornices and
bracketed sills. Corner site with recessed rounded corner.
Corner entrance bay has a chamfered round-arched doorway with
fanlight, and above, a single window on each floor. Right
return, to Bridlesmith Gate, has 3 large shop windows with
pilasters dividing the right pair. Above, on each floor, a
single window, then 2 tripartite windows.
Left return, to Low Pavement, has to left a round-arched
doorway with keystone, and to right, 2 small single pane
windows. Above, 3 windows on each floor.
INTERIOR has on the ground floor moulded cornices and a
moulded cross beam ceiling on round cast-iron columns.
