Former railway granary, now disused. c.1880 for the Midland Railway. Red brick with parapeted slate hipped roof. Octagonal stack to front left corner. Long rectangular plan. 3 storeys, the ground floor very tall. 2-window range facing road of multi-pane iron-framed windows under segmental brick arches. On ground floor to right a large double doorway with wooden doors. Projecting cornice at eaves level continues round rest of the building but is simpler to right (south). Plain coped parapet above. Left side is a similar 7-window range with tall windows to ground floor. To centre left a weather-boarded projecting hoist runs through the 2 upper floors and its roof gable rises above the parapet with brick gable behind. Rear is a 2-window range similar to front and right side is blank. INTERIOR not inspected.
