Former hotel, now public house. C18 rebuilding of earlier building. Pebble-dashed, slate roof. A steep-roofed range in 2 storeys, 4+1 windows, all plain sashes in flush boxes; the fourth bay probably a later addition or infill, above a throughway. In bay 3 is a C19 flush 6-panel door under a hood on consoles. To the right is a wide opening with a pair of plank doors under a multi-pane transom light. A brick stack to the left gable end, and another between bays 3 and 4, possibly the original outer gable. The rear wall has 3 shallow 2-light casement at the eaves, above a 1-storey lean-to range. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 359).
