House. Early C19 with late C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Brick, hipped slate roof behind parapet with large brick stack to rear front range. Three storeys and cellar with moulded eaves cornice; 5 bays; all windows have stone sills and gauged flat heads; ground and first floor windows are glazing bar sashes, second floor windows are 9-pane sashes; windows in central bay have round-arched heads; central entrance has a late C19 flat-roofed porch with panelled double doors flanked by rectangular lights; the sides of the porch have narrow, round-headed blind windows. Rear elevation: ashlar tetrastyle Doric portico with dentilled cornice and wrought iron balcony above; 6-panelled door with round-arched moulded architrave and blocked traceried fanlight; fenestration altered at ground floor level, left side has a canted bay with mounded cornice and parapet, and 3 plain sashes, and to right side there are 2 plain sashes; also the central first floor window replaced by a large cross casement with moulded architrave. Interior: main rooms have ceiling mouldings; entrance hall has an open well staircase with moulded balusters and handrail. To front right is a 2 storey, 2-bay addition with a pyramidal roof and additional late C19 and mid-C20 extensions adjoin to right and rear.
