1827 town chapel. Red brick with painted stone dressing. 2 storeys and basement.
5 bay front with narrow flanking bays and broad, shallow bowed centrepiece, the
pediment gable moves out with bow. Plinth; deep 1st floor entablature - sill band,
the wall plane of bow recessed by one brick from quoin pilasters with round capped
dies, the central bay flanked by Ionic pilasters supporting entablature. Round
headed marginal glazed windows. C1870 Corinthian pilasted doorway with entablature,
the door with diamond fields to panels and archivolt arched fanlight over. 5 bay side
elevations divided by brick pilasters with sill coarses etc...returned from front and
carried over.
