Statue. One of a collection of statuary by Sir Henry Cheere, purchased in
1812 by Samuel Whitbread II. Lead standing male figure holding a smoking or
flaming dish, probably representing a seer. Supported on Coade stone plinth,
the whole about 2.5 metres high. (C. Hussey (ed.), Southill, A Regency House,
