Late C17 building restored in 1911. Red brick with wooden modillion eaves cornice
and tiled roof. Symmetrical appearance. 2 storeys and attic but 2 projecting
wings of higher elevation, with 3 windows and 1 dormer each, central part of 4
windows and 4 dormers. 2 modern bays on the ground floor of this centre part,
2 doorways with pediments and semi-circular fanlights. Tablet recording the 1911
restoration.

Monmouth House, its gate with overthrow and Quadrille Court with its boundary wall
and gate form a group with Nos 39 to 43 (consec) and No 46 (a building of local
interest) opposite.
