Mid to late C18. Farmhouse, cottage and barn in one range. Hammer dressed stone with
plinth. Quoins to north west corner of barn. Pitched stone slate roof. Coped gable
to barn (south west) on moulded footstones. Central stack. 2 storeys. Farmhouse and
Cottage: South east elevation: Ground floor: entrance has stone surround and tie-stones
and large lintel; one 4-light stone mullioned window (recessed); one 2-light stone
mullioned window (recessed). One small casement. One former 3-light stone mullioned
window (now blocked). First floor: three 3-light stone mullioned windows (recessed).
One 2-light stone mullioned window (recessed); one former 3-light stone mullioned window
(recessed) (all mullions removed). North east gable: Much altered with various openings
including a former 3-light stone mullioned window (with I mullion removed). North west
elevation: lean-to extension (slightly more recent) contains stone stairs to house and
has one 2-light stone mullioned window and a single light. Ground floor (to house):
one former 2-light stone mullioned window (recessed) (mullion removed). First floor:
single small sash. Barn: South east elevation: large central doorway with segmental
arched head with slightly pronounced keystone, stone surrounds and tie-stones. A small
doorway has stone surrounds, tie-stones and large lintel. North west elevation: small
central doorway with large lintel, stone surrounds and tie-stones. Roof truss to barn
is simple tie beam type with braces.
