Originally the Rectory. Designed by William Butterfield and built for the Rev
Charles Laprimaudaye, then Curate to the Rev H E (afterwards Cardinal Manning) who
was then Rector of East Lavington and Graffham, of which West Lavington was a
chapel of ease. L-shaped Gothic building. Coursed Wealden sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, now painted. Tiled roof. Casement windows. The entrance front has a Gothic gabled porch with window in the gable flanked by a gable and a chimney
stack. The elevation has a bay window on ground floor with stone roof and a
3-light Gothic window. The rear elevation has a bay window on ground floor with
gable over.
