Timber-framed and plastered house of C17 origin but much altered and partly
rebuilt in the C18 and with modern additions. Renovated in the C20. Two
storeys. At the north end of the west front the upper storey is jettied,
and in the centre there is a 2 storeyed canted bay. The windows generally
are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. At the rear there are 4 gables.
Roof tiled, with a large chimney stack with attached shafts. (RCHM 3).
