By the exclusion of: 1. CHESTER STREET 5104 Aston B6 No 10 Lock, Aston Flight with footbridge, Birmingham/ Fazeley Canal SP 08 NE 7/14 II 2. Mid 1770's origin, single narrow lock with single botom gate. Thick brick, and stone dressed. By the bottom gate is a cantilevered footbridge, probably circa 1840, consisting of cast iron girders with wood deck and low set hand rails to each end raised a few inches above the lock edge to allow passage for a tow rope.
1. CHESTER STREET 5104 Aston B6 SP 08 NE 7/14 No 7 Lock, Aston Canal Flight with Footbridge, Birmingham/Fazeley Canal II 2. Canal Lock. Mid 1770's. Thick brick with stone dressings. Single narrow lock with single bottom gate, and cantilevered foot-bridge probably c.1840, consisting of cast iron girders with concrete deck and low set hand rails to each side, raised a few inchesa bove the lock edge to allow passage of tow rope.
