II
Cottage and attached forge. C18 altered early C19. Ashlar with pantiled roof.
Through-passage plan, with slightly-later continuous outshut to rear. Single
storey, formerly with partial sleeping loft.
4 irregular bays. Lean-to porch with panelled door in 2nd bay. 12-pane sash
to left, 6-pane sash to right and 4-pane sash on extreme right. On 1st floor,
right of door 2 very small Yorkshire sashes below eaves. 2 blocked earlier
windows. Steeply-pitched gabled roof with raised coping, left end stack and
ridge stack to right of door.
Lower 2 -bay forge to right has sliding door in left bay and blacksmith-type
window to right. Steeply-pitched gabled roof with brick end stack.
