Holmes Almshouses. Earlier cottages, forming a bequest, were rebuilt in 1849, in a
Tudor style. Two-storeys, 2 windows. Tile roof with gablets and plain bargeboards,
above windows. Walling is red brick, in Flemish bond; cambered openings. Casements
of 2 (first floor) and 3 (ground floor) lights. Central gabled porch. Plaque with
date, 1849.
