House, (derelict) mid C17. Hammer dressed stone, dressed quoins, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys. 3-room through-passage hall and cross-wing plan lacks service
end (demolished). Gabled wing preserves hoodmoulds with spiral stops to largely
altered windows. Housebody rendered with altered windows and inserted doorway
to left of original through passage now largely destroyed, although front
doorway, which is chamfered with basket arched lintel, and the lower jambs of
the rear doorway, survive. One lateral stack to wing. N. Pevsner, Yorkshire
