Cottage, former ferryman's cottage. Probably late C18. Rubble stone walls, thatched
roof, brick end stacks. 2 storeys and attic. Brick porch with gabled stone slate
roof. Ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casements with horizontal glazing bars, under
stone arches. First floor has 2 casements, one with glazing bars, one with centre
horizontal bar. Slate-roofed lean-to at left end. One dormer in rear elevation.
Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber lintol.
Included partly for local historic interest. (RCHM, Monument 160. Dorset. Vol II).
