Single-cell house initialled and dated 1670 . Added barn to left early C19.
W.S.
Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Original doorway has
chamfered jambs and inscribed lintel, formed baffle entry. Later long leanto
porch under cat-slide roof. 2 bays of altered windows now forming 2 chamfered
lights. 1st floor has long 12-light chamfered mullioned window with central
king mullion. Some 2-light mullioned windows to rear. Barn has segmental
arched cart entry and mistal doorway with tie-stones. Quoins. Coped gable to
barn only. One stack at junction of house and barn. House has queen-strut
truss, braced to ridge, groved to soffit.
