6/22 Finn Farm House

II

Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17, altered and refronted in late C17 or
early C18, with C19 alterations. Timber-framed. Front clad in red brick.
in Flemish bond in early C18. Plain tile roof. Right-hand ground-floor
room and frame-late C16 or early C17, probably lobby entry plan with
continuous jetty. Left hand room altered when front clad. 2 storeys and
attics. Roof hipped with gablets. Multiple central brick ridge stack. 2
hipped dormers. Irregular fenestration of two 3-light C19 casements and
one central early C18 2-light leaded casement in lightly-moulded wood
archintrave. Ground floor windows C19, with segmental heads. Central
panelled door under flat corniced hood. Red brick lean-tos integral with
front elevation. Central rear stair turret. Interior: exposed timbers.
Clasped-purlin roof, with re-used members. Clasped purlin roofs to lean-
tos. Rear lean-to demolished in 1970's.
