EAST STREET 1. 5231 (North Side) Fareham Nos 9 to 13 (odd) SU 5806 SW 1/54 18.10.55. II GV 2. C18. Red brick. Nos 11 and 13 painted brick. Tiled roofs. Nos 9 and 11 with parapet. No 13 with modillion eaves cornice. 2 1/2 storeys and basements. 1 attic dormer each. 6 windows, sashes with glazing bars, but glazing bars of No 9 missing. Boxed frames to No 11. Doorways with pilasters, pediments, radial fanlights and doors of 6 fielded panels, top 2 of No 9 now glazed. Doorway of No 9 has moulded architraves and glazed approach now built on. Rear recessed building part of No 9. Red brick, slate roof. 2 storeys. 5 windows including 1 blank, sashes with glazing bars and cambered head linings. Loft door. Nos 1 to 13 (odd) Surgery and Fareham House, form a group with Nos 10 and 12 and the Red Lion. (Surgery is a building of local interest).
