House, formerly Public House. Early C16 with C18 alterations. 1 1/2 storeys
and attics; lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed and rendered. Thatched roof
with gabled thatched casement dormers; gable and axial chimneys of red brick.
C19 2-light small-pane casements and boarded entrance door. A 2-cell early C16
open hall house at the left hand end, much altered. A diamond-mullion window
in the rear wall of the hall passes the inserted first floor, its head being
the wall-plate. Axial chimney inserted into hall, and house extended to right
C18.
