House, mid C17, altered late C19. 1 1/2 storeys and attics. 3-cell lobby-
entrance plan. Timber-framed, encased and partly underbuilt in C19 red brick.
Thatched roof with gabled casement dormers; axial C17 chimneys of red brick,
the right hand chimney with saw-tooth pattern flues on a square base. C19
small-pane horizontal sliding sashes with segmental arches of red brick.
Boarded entrance door. Back-to-back open fireplace to kitchen; a further
unheated room to left. Complete clasped purlin roof. Converted to cottages
late C19, when much external walling rebuilt.
