War memorial, walls and railings. Granite pedestal and statue; ashlar curb and
piers; wrought iron railings. Seated life-size figure of woman in classical
drapery in dejected posture, right hand holding wreath, on tall square pedestal
with wide base, swag-decorated frieze and wide cornice. Names of dead 1914-
1919 and 1939-1945 on pedestal. Wrought iron rail on 4 short posts on step.
Curb has 4 pyramidal-coped low piers on each side; centre of each block has
raised rusticated panel. Enclosure of plain railings and gate with flattened
pointed heads and square principals with pointed heads.
