Former Methodist Chapel, now warehouse. 1787, with early C19 and late C20 additions and alterations. Brick with rubble plinth to west and hipped pantile roof and single side wall stack. Cogged eaves. 2 storeys; 4 x 7 windows. South front has first floor band and windows with flat arches. Four 12 pane sashes and below, a 16 pane sash flanked to left by a 12 pane sash and to right by 3 similar sashes. Right return has seven 12 pane sashes, the right one blank. Below, to right, a double fielded panelled door, partly glazed, with Gothic glazing bar fanlight. To right, a round headed Gothic glazing bar sash. To left, a blocked window flanked by 2 plain sashes to right and a plain sash and a top hung casement to left, all with segmental heads. At the right end, a single storey hipped addition with 2 C20 windows. Left return has a plain sash and four 12 pane sashes. Below, a glazed door with toplight flanked by single 12 pane sashes. To right, a blank. All have segmental heads. North end has a hipped 2 storey central addition with three 12 pane sashes on each floor, the lower ones blank. On either side, a plain sash above and a door below, all segment headed. To right, an early C19 2 storey addition with a side wall stack and a large round headed window with Gothic glazing bars, and a 12 pane sash below. Much altered interior has 2 C18 dogleg stairs with stick balusters, and a panelled double door with Gothic glazed fanlight. This building was opened in 1787 by John Wesley and subsequently became a school.
