GV II

House, divided into flats. Probably 1860s. Stuccoed and
blocked out; slate roof, hipped at ends; end stacks with
rendered shafts with cornices. L-plan: double-depth main
block, 2-rooms-wide with a rear left wing at right-angles. 2
storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front. Left and right rusticated
quoins; deep eaves on paired moulded brackets; eaves band;
platband at first-floor sill level. Central doorway with a
moulded cornice on consoles; moulded doorcase with panelled
reveals; c1860s panelled door with horizontal upper and lower
panels. 2 ground-floor windows with moulded architraves,
glazed with 4-pane sashes with horizontal glazing bars; 3
first-floor similarly-glazed windows. Rear elevation and the
rear wing preserve sash windows; unfortunate plastic
replacement window on right return of main block. INTERIOR:
Not inspected but said to be entirely gutted for conversion to
flats.
