Shop with dwelling. Late C18, refronted mid C19. Flemish-bond
brick, painted stone rusticated quoins, cornice and blocking
course, platband and window dressings; pantile roof with brick
stacks to gable ends. 3 storeys; symmetrical 2-window range.
Each window to the upper floors has a moulded console and
cornice over a flat arch, the intrados of which curves
downwards at the corners; plate-glass sashes with margin
panes. The pilasters flanking late C19 moulded fascia over C20
shop-front, fluted to the bases, have plinths and moulded
cornices; paired brackets support ends of fascia. The rear,
with wide eaves, is 2-window range with flat arches and
stepped stone voussoirs to upper floors; a blind window to
centre is flanked by horned 6/6-pane sash windows to second
floor and 6/9-pane sashes to first floor. 2 early C19 shop
windows (notable survivals) with moulded fascias and pilasters
have 3 rows of 3 panes with large lamb's tongue glazing bars.
To right is a late C19 four-panel door under a moulded cornice
on scrolled cornice with fruit and vines; lintel to overlight
has rounded corners to lower arris. The plinth is faced with
slate. INTERIOR not inspected.
